Meet our community

our instructors are passionate about sharing their experience and expertise in every class they offer, our studio operates a bit differently, at My Yoga Collective each one of us owns a little bit of our space and when you register for your classes you are paying your instructor directly via venmo, cash or even square if available.  We value the trainings and time and passion and love each of our teachers cultivates and puts into their classes and have the opportunity to support them financially in this manner.

When one of us succeeds we all succeed

Eileen’s yoga journey began in 1999 practicing Kundalini and Hatha yoga as a way to ease anxiety. Yoga calmed her mind and body. She instantly fell in love with this healing practice, and it became a part of her daily life adding Vinyasa, Yin, and Restorative to her practice. In 2019, Eileen earned her RYT-200 in order to share the peace and tranquility that yoga gave her with others.
Eileen is a Usui Reiki Master, and has been sharing reiki energy with everyone she meets since 2014. In her own words, “Reiki is magic.” During each session, she channels reiki energy to her clients so that they can use it to heal themselves. Nothing makes her happier than making someone's day a little brighter.

When you come to one of Eileen’s classes, it doesn’t matter whether you are super flexible or you can barely touch your toes. She will show you that yoga always meets you exactly where you are, if you show up for yourself on your mat.

Shani's yoga practice began  as a way to balance  body and mind as well as help with stress and anxiety.  After feeling the transformational effects of her own practice she knew that she had to share with others through teaching. This is what drew her to complete her 200 hr YA certified YTT, certification in Yin Yoga, Reiki level 1 and is currently participating in a 300 hr Advanced Teacher training to deepen her knowledge of the practice and Philosophy of Yoga.  She finds herself drawn to the restorative aspects of a slower paced practice but that doesn't mean you won't find her in a Vinyasa or Power class as well.

Shani's teaching style draws strongly from her dance background and she loves experimenting with creative flow in her Vinyasa classes when appropriate. She also absolutely loves the stillness of a practice such as Yin and finds that they compliment each other perfectly.  Her intension is to make Yoga accessible to everyone and says  "As not being very bendy myself I understand how intimidating it can be to begin.  Everybody's practice will look different and that's what's so beautiful about Yoga.  You make it your own and I'm here to help!"
